Brand-new single from the brand-new WNSDY AT 7, Perspective is to be released 31st January, and has already been played on Sine FM – but if you missed it, don’t worry! I’m here to tell you all about it.

According to frontman Ryan, the song is about expressing feelings of frustration – and then the relief of escaping manipulative people. Family, friends or lovers – the message is to never change who you are for anyone. A message that is truly brought through within the track, and more so, it’s said in a way that’s self-empowering. Making it relatable, but not one to cry to!

The song kicks straight in, with a fun little riff. Straight away, it has me rocking along to the beat. The chorus is loud, proud and rebellious. It also has your classic pop punk trope of a cheeky little spoken line, before repeating “you never loved me, so trust me”.  Although not as heavy, it reminds me Simple Plan’s iconic single Shut Up.

It’s a fun little track, which along with their last single, Shadows Got Darker, makes me excited to hear what they’ll have to offer in a future EP, and eventually, an album.

With only days away from release, do be on the lookout for when the single drops. And if you’re able to make it, they’re playing Ashby Bowl in Scunthorpe on 3rd February and Yates in Halifax on 2nd March!
