Plymouth four-piece BREATHER are back and introducing their second EP with brand-new single Dominion, due to be released 31st May.

Judging from the lyrics, and the definition of dominion, the song is about overcoming a controlling situation, and taking back the power for yourself. It’s a nice, fast-paced pop punk song which is similar with their previous self-titled EP, but with a tidier, more confident sound to it.

This is good, it shows progression and improvements as musicians and songwriters and I’m excited to see what their second EP, CATALYST, will bring.

The video for Dominion is simple, showing them playing in a black room, with purple lighting and a purple effect overlapping at times. It’s been created by Shearwater Visual & James Usil, as the song itself has been produced by Shearwater studios, a Plymouth-based studio. The video is due to be released on the 31st, along with the single.

BREATHER are introducing the album along with a weekend of show, visiting Southampton, Bristol and Brighton.

Dominion is out 31st May, don’t miss it!
